What are your biggest problems when you are trying to put the book together? You work hard. You know your book is good. But something is bugging you. Your self-doubt is destroying your good feelings, your energy and courage. Why would you think your book is good enough, where would you find customers and reviews, how can you prove your book is good, maybe other books are much better, it was just an idea, maybe too much work to launch and market, maybe it is best to forget it… It would be too costly and time-consuming to start marketing it. It was so much fun to be writing it, so maybe it’s better and safer to just start another book, or the fifth… It’s best just to keep on writing and worry later about content. Writer’s bloc is a common deterrent. Don’t stare at an empty page trying to force your mind to produce brilliant words. Just keep on writing and some words or sentences might be very good and even brilliant. Or do something else such as clean your messy files and desktop or the entire house. You might soon be so busy and productive writing that you have no time cleaning. Human nature is such that while you do something else such as mindless cleaning, you sub-conscious works well at the background and organizes your ideas into many useful slots.
Time is a common obstacle. When you are passionate about your topic, time comes to write even if you have no time to sleep or cook gourmet meals or meet with friends or do other things you used to do. Just follow your passion and write with fire in your fingertips. Edit later. You write because you love writing: if you don’t, you won’t. There is an avalanche of information out there. What would you like to read about in a blog post?
